The 2017 Gala for Recovery Brick Awardee: Don Kuhl

A real estate professional and the Corporate Broker for Synergy | Sotheby’s International Realty, Don Kuhl has been a Las Vegas resident since 1996, when brought to Las Vegas as part of the transition team to take over the management of  the Nevada Test Site Operations with Bechtel.

Don gives back to our community in such ways as being a past member of the Shriners Hospitals for Children Golf Tournament Executive Committee, member of the newly formed United Way Impact Circle Committee and our tireless Tournament Chair for Foundation for Recovery’s annual golf tournament at TPC Summerlin.

Don says that it has been Stuart Smith’s ongoing influence, over time, and experience with his two sons that have raised his awareness and concerns of the magnitude of the drug problems in Southern Nevada. Believing that addiction knows no boundaries, he is troubled for the futures of our children and community now that Marijuana has been legalized as a recreational drug.

In his limited spare time, Don spends time with his wife Amy and family traveling, golfing, and supporting his two sons in their pursuits in Lacrosse.

Join us for the 2017 Gala for Recovery on August 5th at Caesar’s Palace with Keynote Speaker, Attorney General, Adam Laxalt: GET TICKETS.

Person-Directed Recovery

Person-centered recovery is directed, as much as possible by the person – including decisions about who should be included in the process.  The planning identifies just a few small, but meaningful, short-term changes that the individual can focus on helping to reduce some of the barriers or challenges moving forward.  Person centered care should be central to all recovery frameworks.
