Dave Caloiaro has spent approximately 35 years in the mental health, health and human services field, including 30 of those years with the state of Nevada. He served in various program management and administrative positions, including with the Divisions of Welfare and Supportive Services, Health Care Financing and Policy (Medicaid), Mental Health and Developmental Services, and Public and Behavioral Health. While at the Division of Public and Behavioral Health, Mr. Caloiaro was a bureau chief and oversaw the grants management unit, mental health disaster preparedness and response program, the Peer Recovery program, the statewide investigations program, and all activities related to mental health prevention, promotion and awareness.
Currently, in addition to serving as a Board of Directors member for the Foundation for Recovery, Mr. Caloiaro works for the Carson City School District as a consultant, and as the School Social Worker and Mental Health Services Program Manager.
Mr. Caloiaro Dave holds a Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) and Bachelors of Arts Degree in Public Relations (BA) from the University of Nevada in Reno. He has been licensed as an Independent Licensed Social Worker (LISW) in Nevada since 1995.
