Skip Farley

Certified Peer Recovery and Support Specialist

Allan (Skip) Farley is a person in long term recovery since July 2, 1985. Skip has been volunteering and working as a Peer Recovery Support Specialist since 2011 and as Foundation for Recovery’s Peer Service Coordinator in 2012 -2016. After taking time off, Skip realized the importance of supporting others in recovery in order to sustain his own recovery and came back to the organization in 2017. Skip is certified as a Recovery Support Specialist and has received training in SafeTALK Trainer, Suicide Assist, Mental Health First Aid, and Naloxone. As a veteran of USMC, Skip has been certified as a Veteran Service Advocate where he volunteered with different Veteran Service Agencies to help Veterans who suffer from PTSD and addiction.
