Will Allphin

Director of Programs

Will Allphin is a man whose long-term recovery journey took him from the world of Aerospace to the world of Substance Use Disorder Treatment over the course of the last 30 years. Will’s work as a Process/MFG/Quality Engineer and Audit liaison with Talley Corporation, Teleflex and Klune Industries had him working with the DoD, Boeing, Lockheed and Learjet among others, to ensure procedural/specification compliance qualifies him for oversight of grant-funded programs however his work over the last few years in the SUD world qualifies him on a more personal basis to work on the ground with those directly affected by SUD. Will’s work began as the House Manager of ARG at Zion Park where he cooked for and presented coursework to men seeking recovery against the backdrop of Utah’s red rock country. This work moved him to Therapia Addiction Healing center as Program Supervisor, Men’s Program Coordinator and finally Men’s and Women’s Program Coordinator.

While with Therapia, Will was able work one on one with men and women seeking recovery in an inpatient setting, this is where developed several experiential activities utilizing the varied terrain of Utah, Arizona and Nevada. Will created and presented an Early Recovery Skills course on a weekly basis to help clients ease the transition from inpatient treatment. Will completed and maintains Utah’s Peer Support Specialist certification and began simultaneous work as a Sober Coach with the Renaissance Ranch outpatient center in St. George, Utah mentoring men in early recovery. Will volunteers in local 12-step and ecclesiastical outreach groups, he speaks openly about his recovery journey and is a vocal proponent of removing the shame from “Our Recovery Stories.” Will is excited to bring his experience to FFR and excited to learn from the experience of others while here.
