Just to give you an idea of what I brought to the table when I came to Foundation for Recovery: I am a six-time felon, drug addict for over 20 years, and was homeless and lost.

I came to a recovery rehab and was introduced to FFR where I got a Peer Recovery Coach who talked to me about what I needed, not what I had done.

My Peer Coach pointed me toward reality and supported me. He taught me that I had to change what was around me. He has been there for me and is still. Just remember you are not your situation. You make your situation.,  For every hole that is dug, there is an exit…just look up!

Person-Directed Recovery

Person-centered recovery is directed, as much as possible by the person – including decisions about who should be included in the process.  The planning identifies just a few small, but meaningful, short-term changes that the individual can focus on helping to reduce some of the barriers or challenges moving forward.  Person centered care should be central to all recovery frameworks.
